Aspen Global Change Institute -- a nonprofit organization from Colorado that is "...dedicated to enhancing understanding of global scale environmental change and the role of human beings in that change."
Association of Forest Service Employees for Environmental Ethics -- their mission is to "...forge a socially responsible value system for the Forest Service based on a land ethic which ensures ecologically and economically sustainable resource management."

Citizens Center for Health, Environment and Justice -- a group founded by residents of Love Canal (an environmental disaster area in New York) whose work attempts to "...start local environmental groups, strengthen existing groups and develop networks that reach beyond the limits of class and race to protect public health and the environment."

Global Rivers Environmental Education Network -- a nonprofit organization of "...global citizens sharing their concerns for water quality," site includes a catalog of water-related environmental information from the Internet. Government Purchasing Project -- "...dedicated to protecting the environment and human health through the effective use of purchasing power in addition to traditional advocacy. GPP works to encourage the government to use its immense purchasing power to promote safe, cost-effective, energy-efficient, and environmentally-sound products. The government is the largest consumer in the United States, representing approximately 18 percent of the gross national product. This purchasing leverage can be an enormously effective tool which can save taxpayers money, expand the marketplace for "green" technologies, and consequently make these technologies and environmentally preferable products more available to consumers as a whole."

Living on Earth -- offered as an environmental program by National Public Radio, includes news and special features, as well as commentary on environmental issues.

National Pollution Prevention Center -- focuses on the development of educational materials for university-level instruction.
National Trust for Historic Preservation -- a creation of Congress (in 1949), their mission is "...to foster an appreciation of the diverse character and meaning of our American cultural heritage and to preserve and revitalize the livability of our communities by leading the nation in saving America's historic environments."
