ACLU Freedom Network -- from the premier liberal-oriented human rights and civil liberties organization in the United States, focusing on controversial such topics as church and state, criminal justice, cyber-liberties, death penalty, freedom of speech, privacy rights, national security, women's rights, workplace rights, and much more. Includes sections on news and current events, ACLU programs, a library, and connections to state organizations.

American Bar Association Journal and LawLink -- information for the legal community and the general public, including legal assistance and publications, ABA Journal online, and more.

CourtTV Home Page -- commercial television network's online site, offers late-breaking news in legal cases (often specializing in the sensational), legal documents, and a dictionary of legal terms.

Criminal Law: Related Resources -- links to sites related to criminal law, the judicial system, government, FBI statistics, law technology, and law schools online.

Emory University School of Law -- check out the Electronic Reference Desk and the Federal Courts finder for information about the law.

Historic Supreme Court Decisions - by Party Name -- organized by alphabetical order, a searchable database of cases.

Indiana Program for Law-Related Education -- from the Univesity of Indiana, includes links to law-related education progams at the state, national, and international levels, as well as Supreme Court decisions, bar associations, criminal justice departments, and more.

Internet Legal Resource Guide -- "A categorized index of 3100 select web sites in 238 nations, islands, and territories, as well as more than 850 locally stored web pages and other files, this site was established to serve as a comprehensive resource of the information available on the Internet concerning law and the legal profession, with an emphasis on the United States of America. Law Journal Extra -- current events and issues, presented in an online newspaper format.

Law on the March -- Call My Lawyer -- legal oddities, judicial stupidities, and news of the weird from a practising attorney... funny and interesting legal stories from the news.

Legal Information Institute -- an online legal research activity of Cornell University, includes recent and historic Supreme Court decisions, the U.S. Code, Federal Rules of Evidence and Civil Procedure, and links to people and organizations in the field of law.

Missouri Bar Home Page -- online information for attorneys, the press, and the public, includes copies of pamphlets with free legal information, a reference service for persons needing an attorney, lesson plans for educators, and more.

National Institute for Citizen Education in the Law -- a project of the University of Indiana, "...a nonprofit organization deducated to strengthening democracy and justice through education about law and democratic values," includes a list of the most recent NICEL projects.

Rate Your Risk -- self-tests you can take to determine your chances of being assaulted, murdered, or burglarized.

THOMAS: Legislative Information on the Internet -- a service of the U.S. Congress from the Library of Congress, includes summaries and full text versions of bills, roll call votes of members, text of the Congressional Record, committee information, information on how our laws are made, historical documents, and more.

World Wide Web Virtual Library: Law -- legal information searchable by organization, by topic, and links to legal search sites.

Yahoo! - Society and Culture: Crime: Victims' Rights: Organizations -- links to victims' rights organizations across the U.S.

Youth Law Hotline -- "...a toll free number you can call for free and confidential legal advice, information, and referrals on juvenile law issues... We will answer legal questions relating to youth and family problems: physical and abuse, custody, substance abuse, pregnancy, school problems, delinquencies and other matters. We will also provide referrals to community resources in the caller's area whenever possible."
